My life skills

ONLINE POSTERS

Creating an online poster allows you to include many different types of media, and also allows your poster to reach a wider audience. An online poster is an attractive way of explaining your topic with the use of images, videos, links, text, icons, music, etc. There are many free online tools that enable you to create an online digital poster.

Let's do it!

Step 1
Think about all the life skills you have. What courses have you taken? Are you good at anything in particular? What are you interested in? What do your friends and family say about you? Organize your ideas on a task sheet before going on the computer.

Step 2
Click here and create your poster. Look for images, videos and other things online that you could use in your poster. Remember to choose an attractive background and use different colours, too.

Step 3
Show your poster to the class.

My Wardrobe

1. Have a look at your wardrobe and pick up 4 garments (not underwear) or accessories to talk about. This is both a speaking and writing activity, so we're looking for a short paragraph on each. Try to use some interesting vocabulary and recycle some of the language we've looked at in class.

2. You'll need to present the potos in class and talk about them for 5 min. You must be prepared to answer questions from your classmates and the teacher.

3. Prepare a PowerPoint, convert it to Slideshare and upload it on your blog.
